For Fall 2012, Avelaka looks to the Native People of the Pacific Northwest, reflecting on their striking designs. This collection draws inspiration from the weavings of the Chilkat people and the artwork of the Tlinglit and Haida. Bringing elements of cedar wood, shell buttons, the Aurora Borealis & the People's adornment philosophy of utilizing all blank space for design, Avelaka's beautiful silk digital prints elegantly showcase Native inspiration.
